This is the swimming stadium which is called Water Cube in Beijing China. I love the simple shape of it and its beautiful colour at nignt.

This was one of my friend's work that i loved during the foundation study of design course. It is simply made of white paper and stick the shapes together to form a light. The colour of lighting make it more effective in this photo.

This is one of my project that i did in cofa. It was inspired by the Japanese earthquake protection system. The top part can be seen as a building and it can be hold when the bottom part is shaking. We were supposed to make a mobile in this project, therefore, the wires between the cubes make more movement to the design.

Hall: leave, grow, soft

Gascoigne: square, perpendicular, grid

Moffat: water, connect, curly

  1. Hey Jason,
Bassel here, with a comment for your blog and your second SketchUp model.
Seriously man, I think it's awesome! I love how all the holes and shapes at the front stretch downwards, it's really unique and looks really 3-dimensional. The second picture from the top is really cool to look at!
One criticism I have are the sides (in the picture at the top of the page, the left side especially.) They feel too flat and 2-dimensional, and still look like the sides of an extruded shape that haven't been modelled yet. My advice is to do just that; model them a bit, try adding different shapes to them and extruding models off them so that they match the rest of the model. But everthing's up to you, that's just my opinion.
Overall, great design man! I really really like it, best of luck!
